Fifty out of Fifty One barangays voted for Reynaldo Parojinog , Sr., as Liga ng mga barangay president for the new set of barangay officials in Ozamiz City.
The just concluded Liga ng mga Barangay President election of Ozamiz City shown that though former Mayor Reynaldo “ Aldong” Ozamiz Parojinog, Sr., is an opposed and the lone candidate for Liga president during the election, however one punong barangay did not vote for a president and a vice-president subsequently.
The result of the Liga ng mga Barangay officials election conducted Tuesday, December 7, showed Fifty out of Fifty One punong barangays had voted for Aldong, and one choose not to vote for president and the vice-president who chosen only two Board of Directors instead of writing Eight names out of the lists of candidates approved by the board of election supervisors.
The newly elected Liga ng mga barangay president said, we are in a democracy and whoever among the Fifty punong barangays rejected him and his vice-president who happen to be his Auntie Rosalina “Peke” Francisco , he is not after of knowing him or her.
“ There is no need to put an efforts to unmask this “one” punong barangay. What is important today is working as mandated by our position. I am happy that its over. We can start working together for the betterment of the lives of our people”, Parojinog said.
It is public knowledge that punong barangay Anita Linsag of barangay Dimaluna was running as city councilor in the May 10, 2010 election , under the ticket of the losing mayoralty candidate former Ozamiz City councilor Ma. Constancia Lim.
Inspite of the fact, Parojinog never named names and did not even bothered himself confronting her.(NEPTALIE BATOLENIO)
